I hate the style of expositing in the form of making characters repeat rules/ideas they already know for the audience's benefit. At that point, just put those rules upfront in a random intro paragraph without the pretense of story-fying it. It's unengaging and lazy and pisses me off. Don't piss me off.

I *am* enjoying the book so far but some of the lascivious jokes are so graphic and abrupt that I'm instantly repulsed

I will *actually* dnf this time if it's bad enough

1) I didn't know this was supposed to be so romance leaning. Expectations have plummeted and still I fear they will remain unmet
2) This is supposed to be ADULT? FOR adults? Targeted TO adults?? For an ADULT to read with their ADULT eyes and brain??? Could've fooled me
