The Dallas/Fellowship plotline is decent enough, my opinion on it will depend on how they deal with Godric. At this point Eric hasn’t said anything?? Does he even realize what’s going on like dafuq. Right now Sookie is crying on Eric and he’s like 😅😅😅 no no dw just don’t cry and she be shocked. Like YES this is the chemistry I needed pleeease Sookie dump Bill in this book

still fairly similar to true blood at this point minus Jason & Tara. i enjoy Sookie as a narrator. the fellowship are great villains so excited to see the or first appearance though build up was pretty lacking. love Eric showing up and pretending to be someone else + interrupting sexy times with Bill 🤢🤮 and Sookie. also glad she is starting to question their relationship

Sookie standing up for her waitressing job and putting Andy in his place was such a serve. also some differences i noticed, no Tara, Arlene is Sookie’s bestie instead. WHICH MEAAAANS AAAA NO LAFAYETTE. hands down best show character. there’s some sexy himbo named JB?? i feel like Sookie and Jason are a lot more estranged in the books. weird vibes abt mind reading being called a disability tho

so far very similar to the show. SO GROSSED OUT AT BILL, did he start the confederate vampire trend??? i rebuke it. loving Sookie, she always had a badass side to her in the show, but in the book (so far) it seems like that’s a bigger part of her personality

long time true blood fan and i need more Eric Northman in my life he’s barely a serious love interest in the show i heard he’s much more in the books & bill less so 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I have SUCH nostalgia for these books even though I never read them. When all the hype was about I remember watching all the videos about it omgg I wanted to read it so bad. FINALLY got around to starting the series yay!!

definitely hooked. kind of made up my mind that I do agree to this book being a modern classic. a blueprint for sure that has influenced the literary world. and whether you like the book or not or think it’s badly written that is just a fact. we wouldn’t have the dark academia genre at least as we know it today without the secret history. even a movie like Saltburn has clear inspirations from this book.

Bunny’s accent I vacillate between loving and hating. There was points I was like he deserves to die just for how grating it is to listen. But lowkey brings levity.

This book is kind of controversial in my opinion because it’s considered a ‘modern classic’ but so many people also are not about that whatsoever. Wanted to read this for so long to see where I landed but finally got around to it. I love dark academia & Donna Tartt but keeping low expectations.

wowie this point “catches up” to the end of s1 silo. can definitely see how people say that shoe is dragged out haha. anyways it is a very well paced book. the shipping so far IS on point yes Jahns x Marnes is top of the list and their love story is so much better in the book. but also… not Lukas and Jules ong it’s too adorable. plus he didn’t lie to her about having to take care of his sick mom in the book

so biggest change so far is deputy Marnes death. In the book he unalives himself while in the show he was killed. although they did a fake out moment that had me thinking he was going to unalive in the show so definitely a reference. anyways i do think i like the book take on it better it’s very Romeo and Juliet. and protagonist name is Juliette soz

just binged the show silo, had to read the book series it was based off. so far it’s pretty similar other than a few characters, for example Walker is a man in the books whereas in the show she’s a woman. anyways nothing too major yet. from my research before starting to read the show diverges at a certain point so looking forward to that.

the movie was such a sparksnotes version of the book so far. i love the insight into nick’s mom circle and the stuff with eddie and Astrid esp 🤌🏼❤️
