Pre-read: Among my Christmas reads on Kindle, I picked this one for the perfect combo of Christmas vibes and witchy magic: mixing two genres is the best way to avoid getting bored. 😌

Nyx is the only character (pardon, animal) who gave me any genuine emotion. Maybe Augustus and Kharon too. While I love the sarcastic Alexis, I found myself crying in a corner, questioning how this book was even developed and published.

As I keep listening to this audiobook, I can’t help but wonder how I ended up here...

It had been a while since I last felt this confused while reading a romance… If I hadn’t bought it, I probably would’ve DNF’d it already, but I want to see whether Dean and Cody will get some on-page intimacy... Drew is basically a lucky girl.

The writing style isn’t really working for me, and I’m also not a fan of characters sharing the same initial (Drew and Dean, in this case). I had to constantly remind myself that Drew is a girl. 😅 That said, I’m still hoping this will end on a happy MMF note. Fingers crossed 🤞✨

Another older ARC (ALC this time) I’d like to finish before the end of the year. Reviews seem divided: some negative, others praising the audio so I’m curious to see where I’ll land. 😊

Well, what can I say? Even though it’s quite heavy and the protagonist’s constant positive thinking feels a bit out of place at times, I’ve made it this far, both listening to and reading the book. Now I just need to know how it ends, if only to satisfy my curiosity. 💁🏻‍♀️

I’ve had this ARC for so long, and today I finally found the time and the right headspace to start it. Thank goodness I’m also listening to the audio 'cause it starts off pretty slow, but I’m intrigued by the story, so we’ll see how far I get. 🤞🏼

I was so happy to be able to read another arc from this indie author I discovered this year… unfortunately, this story didn’t quite spark the same excitement as her other works. MC annoyed me quite a bit, and I have to admit, I’m worried I might end up a little disappointed with this one...

With the help of the audiobook, I can smoothly continue this arc, even though certain aspects of the author’s writing style didn’t quite resonate with me.

I enjoyed it, though I was a bit less keen on the constant focus on the "naughty things." 😅

The author put great care into the FMC’s healing journey, which felt tender and genuine. However, everything else stayed in the background, making her problems always take center stage. Still, a nice debut read with potential.

Sure, this story has its cute moments and it tries to show the healing arc of a character… but DAMN, why do they always have to TALK so much? And why does everything always revolve around the FMC and her THOUGHTS? 😩 It really drags the story - I just want to see something else, please...
