OKAY NO WHY THIS RANDOM NARRATIVE CHANGE. We were doing SO GOOD. This book is almost over. AND THEN. Random narrative change to a character who’s only been mentioned a handful of times. At 84% there better be a really good reason why I’m being forced to read this.

Okay this book is kind of weird but the banter is great. Like seriously. Top notch, excellent, so good. 100% the reason why I am still reading this.

Oh now we’re switching narratives. To someone that I didn’t think was a main character. Why???

Only this series can pull off the “it’s a third of the way through the book and the main characters haven’t yet been introduced to the mystery” thing.

I am unsure about this but I’m gonna give it a shot.

I’ve figured out why this book is weird: it feels way more like an old man recounting his life than it does a story written in first person narration.

I was absolutely right. I don’t know where this book is going. For all I know, this book is going to end with Andy finally confessing his feelings when he and West are in a retirement home.

This book is so bizarre. I feel like I’ve lost the flow of this book. I don’t know where it’s going.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this that much, but now I’m very concerned because I want all these plot lines to resolve right away *but this is a series*.

This is……… not what I was expecting. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue.

I’ve had a lot of false starts with this, but I’m actually really getting into this this time.

They’re both absolutely clueless. Which might be charming except for the fact that I’m 2/3s of the way through the book and they’re both still wondering why they’re checking each other out and shit. Like seriously. When are you two going to realize that you have a thing for the other?

I often find the enemies-to-lovers trope ridiculous, but that four mature adults would think this is a good idea and will resolve anything is almost unbelievable. Almost. I’m still in this.

Getting a little concerned. I’m halfway through but I feel like, plot wise, we should be father along in the mystery.

Okay so I’m getting mixed messages on some worldbuilding stuff and I’m a little confused.

I just realized Iggy Toma is actually saying Garrick and I’m not just mis-hearing him say Garrett.

The third act of this book is wild.

This might be the most angsty Eden Finley book I’ve ever read.

don’t mind me while I add all the books I started and abandoned two chapters in in search of the perfect book for right now.
