I'm enjoying this one. On the lighter side, bit of humor, and a slow burn romance.
I'm just... not in the mood for it haha.

Who tf opens the front door without checking who it is WHEN WEARING A TOWEL and then proceeds to chat and eat dinner with the person IN JUST THE TOWEL. Like, I'm sure Mr. Love Interest can wait 2 minutes for you to put on clothes????

Every time I start to think maybe this book isn't too bad, something pops up that makes me want to immediately DNF.

Within 20 pages its stated she's 23 y/o and has never had a crush on someone and then she had "had a crush on him since she knew what crushes were". Girl, make up your mind.

Wow... I hate her.

If anything this is confirming for me why I no longer read Christina Lauren.

Ugh, a prologue that's a flash forward-- showing a scene to come -- is such a huge pet peeve to me. idk why I can't just skip past it and more often than not if a book has a flash forward or "prologue" that's a scene further in the book to hook the read I usually end up NOT liking the book.

I know we need all the explanation on how mana works but also: I don't care. This might be the last book I read in this series. I'm thinking it just isn't for me.

9 chapters read and I'm already addicted and was almost late to work.

Off to a good start. I'm really hoping we learn WHY Nick did the news story in the last book. He had to have had a reason... I'm thinking Sadie blackmailed him???

Idk if this writing agrees with me. 2 chapters in and I never want to pick this up. Going to try reading 5 before making any final decision.

Sometimes it is really fun to read a book with an extremely overpowered MC. Just, so much fun watching them effortlessly and accidentally being overpowered and yet still trying to be kind and respectful. I'm still looking forward to him COMPLETELY annihilating whoever hurt Katrin.

Definitely enjoying this one more than the last.

NGL that first chapter did not hook me at all, but I'll continue on... sooner or later.

It's been a year since I read the last book and I'll admit I am confused by what's going on. I'm still going to roll with it.

Honestly not understanding why I'm not enjoying this more, but one way or another I am going to finish it.

Progress has been made! For some reason, the audiobook is too slow for me, so I'm mostly reading the ebook.

If I could just hide away at home and read this book all day, I would. So addictive.

I'm not the biggest fan of Kassian... yet. I have hope he will win me over.
The story is interesting, but for some reason I'm just not into it :/

Really wish I hadn't waited YEARS to finally read this second book, but I'm loving it. I do wish a picture of the wheel was in the front of the book though because I am confused haha.

*name redacted* is truly becoming my favorite IA male lead. OMG. He is Sean and Conner combined. He HAS to be the love interest.
I'm absolutely dying over here, poor Maggie having to keep a straight face with him haha.
