My current book's audiobook is only available on Spotify T_T and I don't have wireless headpones. Stupid phones nowadays...
Anyhow, I still want to listen to Vivienne Leheny, so I'm listening to this. A re-read, but I'll finally get around to the second book in the series!

Vivienne Leheny is such a great narrator.

Listening to this while playing Fields of Mistria.

Honestly, the second 30% has been pretty great. This little bit here is kinda cringey.

It's finally getting interesting, but wow it took a lot to get here. Also, a game where you have to be physically violent to another player and it isn't questioned?
Your bathroom time is limited to 7 minutes?! + one 30 minute shower???

Archeology, aliens, the setting up of the plot -- like this should be way more interesting!!

The parts with Ben, on the day of the party/installation, really up the intensity. There is that feeling of something amiss when reading the other parts of the book, that keeps growing as Jem points out inconsistencies or the Final Project recaps, then Ben's sections come in and make those other parts seem more sinister. I keep wondering what I'm missing.

I have no idea where this is going, but I'm into it.

Listening to this on a cloudy, slightly rainy day. The cozy nature of the book just goes so well.

This is unfortunately, very slow. Why are they at her dig site? Why aren't they learning more about the possible fraud?

All I want to do is leave work and continue reading this book. I've already read it before! I know how it ends! Yet, I'm still so hooked.

My last intentional summer-seasonal read for the year. I'm a wee bit late getting to it and it is due back in... 5 days (cry!), but I did start it!

Life needs to stop getting in the way so I can read this already.
I've mostly cleared out my CR shelf and I have 3 hours until I get home and can start this.

I really don't understand the antagonism between them. At this point it feels like it is for the plot only.

Progress! I started this one just "not in the mood" for it, but picking it up this second time I'm enjoying it more. I am hoping to finish this one today or tomorrow though since it is due to the library soon and I have other books I want to read more.

Like the first book, I wasn't enamored with the beginning, but I'm enjoying it more now.

These books are so easy to get lost in.

Finished the first part and yeah lots of mysteries, ends with a shock, but also I feel like I've stopped caring which is unfortunate.

Like, I care more about REN, the original character. I want to know her secrets. I want a POV for THEO and know his thoughts. Unfortunately, these two seem like an afterthought as we set up this book. Ugh... idk if I'll continue.

Really? The Tin'Vori's still want to destroy the rest of the Broods? More revenge?? I was honestly hoping for something different.
And whyyyyy are there so many Mercy chapters?! Why did we need a new POV?

ehhhh I'm not really feeling this. Writing is a bit rough, but I'm still interested enough to keep going.

Two chapters into the audiobook and gotta admit I’m not feeling this. I’ll give it a few more chapters to see if it’ll grab my attention, but so far meh.

Ohhhhh this one is good! I love that there is a thriller/horror vibe to it. Their relationship isn't the only plot here.

The stranger didn’t answer, but he did cough, so he was breathing at least. Which meant he was probably going to live. Perfect. Loved it when a man listened.
