This is what it must feel like to slowly go insane... seeing things that cannot possibly be there.

I'm spending a relaxing Saturday reading this and it definitely is a page turner. Plus the plot in here sure has me asking questions I'm sure the book will never answer because they aren't part of the plot. And I feel the thing Tilly wants to do is what she should avoid doing! That painting is bad news!!

I'm reading this book so fast! It's such a strange story, about two sisters, yet it's so very addictive so I keep turning the pages. Does an innocent white lie harm someone if they believe it and then everything goes wacky? Does it do harm to make up stories about people who lived long ago to entertain yourself? And what to do about a horse in a bedroom?

These stories are so good!! They're short but have those fun twisted endings. But what I really love about them is the writing. The words used are so descriptive, almost like poetry. These were definitely written by a very highly skilled author.

This book is kinda strange as the punctuation is missing...and I don't understand why. There are no quotation marks around the spoken dialogue, which makes reading the book a bit more difficult. I also don't understand why it's missing?? It's from a publishing company so...??

But the story, set in Arizona, starts out right away with a body lying out in the "middle of nowhere" except the main character lives there.

I had the most bizarre sense of deja vu when I saw this book at the library! I was thinking "that cover and book title looks SO familiar...but it's a 2026 release!" And then I realized it's the sequel to the book I read last year! But the story about the blind war horse at the very beginning of this book already has me hooked!

It must be very hard for Lee, to go through life not connecting with other people. And then he finally finds someone who he thinks he can connect with but they are from a different time and place. It's actually sad. And I didn't expect to find such a thing in a horror book that had bloody scenes in it, including mentions of guts. Yet there it was.

Meg is just getting herself into more and more trouble! But I definitely love this story! It's exactly the type of writing and plot I want in a cozy mystery. But I haven't decided who the killer is yet...but if she's not careful she might find herself falling off a cliff too!

I must say this book is quite fascinating but it is bloody at times. Some of the characters are unhinged too so you don't know what they might do. No idea how this might end but the two timelines seem to be merging a bit, which adds interest. I'm also pondering if James is real or imaginary at this point. In fact lots of the plot leaves you guessing, but in a good way.

I started this book this morning and the beginning is a tad bloody! Lee definitely has some serious problems! I'm unsure where this is going but I can predict it's not going to be good for the people around Lee.

I find myself a tad confused about the details of the previous chapter, about which direction a person would be facing if they fall backwards off a cliff. Wouldn't the body flip halfway (180 degrees) so they are then not facing the cliff?? Because anything I try to drop (a book, the phone, a pen, etc) it does a flip.

Needless to say, I am definitely enjoying this book!

Ok, I admit I started to read this because there was a spider in here. Weird, right?? But I never read anything like this before so I guess it's a unique idea. The beginning of the book had gripped me right away. And I had no idea there were vampires in here but there are. Different types too. And the danger is growing larger as the story goes farther... Unsure how this will end.

I'm almost done with this one. This is the second book I'm reading about Bun and Jules. It seems a complicated case because the woman who was murdered was hated by many people... And Jules is doing undercover. Or was. I think she got herself into a real mess!

Started this one the other day and it had been recommended to me by my cousin. I read through a huge chunk of it very fast and then I stayed up way too late reading! The plot is very twisty and it sure has taken a turn I didn't expect. I'm unsure at the moment exactly where it's going or how it will all hook together to make sense. But I'm very close to the end.

I started this one yesterday, taking it with me up and back to the ranch. I love the natural setting in here but poor Meg is terrified of heights yet she had to cover this TV contest where people are climbing. And she almost already fell off a cliff - and one guy actually did fall off the cliff! She was a witness. So far I'm enjoying this book.

The child now apparently has a whitlow on the finger and I made the mistake of googling that. Whatever you do, don't Google that! Uggh. The photos of that "injury" were very icky! 🤢 Sometimes there are clear downsides to googling these unfamiliar words!

This story certainly has similarities with the one I just finished this morning; another girl trying to fit in somewhere where she doesn't exactly belong. I wonder how much trouble Miranda will get into while staying at this huge manor house? I suspect plenty as she's not used to those people+ lifestyle.

Gillian is turning into the most awful girl! Before she was so super honest and was worrying about any little thing she did wrong and now she is the exact opposite! Dreadful! This peer pressure is absolutely rotten!

This story suddenly took a very dark and unexpected twist, something I didn't expect. Some of these wealthy girls are very unwise and they sure cause the most awful nightmare scenarios! And it's so unnecessary but because they don't think... And poor Gillian is just stuck with it too. How unfortunate for her!

I am very hooked on this one! And what a house Thornleigh is! Parts are horribly damaged from a fire years ago and yet they are living there! Bats inside the house and rotten floors and tons of woods...and Violet has the most unusual rituals / awkward habits.

I started this book while I was out today. And I can see that Violet is going to totally disrupt the very orderly, school rule following life of Gillian. She already convinced her to go up onto the building's roof, get locked out and then climb down a drainpipe!! 😮 I think this will be a very good book?? It looks promising so far.

I just started this one and it seems that 18 year old Miranda will be going off to this huge estate that the mysterious letter came from. If she's lucky, she won't have to kill chickens over there.

I seem to be coming near the end of this book. I will finish this tomorrow as it's midnight here. While this has lots of action and dropping depth charges it's not exciting. And I think that is due to the writing style. Perhaps as a movie it would be different?

The captain has been on the bridge in command for 20 hours straight and finally he has sat down as all of the time he has been standing. This is definitely one tough man. He has eaten two sandwiches, drank lots of coffee and there have been no bathroom breaks for him at all. Too busy hunting the U-boats.

This book is quite unusual and not exactly what I was expecting. It seems to be almost entirely commands from the captain/ bridge chatter. People following orders. If I had a dollar for each time the captain says "Very well" in here I'd be rich! He says it a lot.

This is getting very interesting. Makes me wonder how did they know that the blurb they see on the radar is a U-boat? I guess they would know where any Allie submarines are?? Or they make different sounds? But this convoy moving in this zigzag pattern sounds like a headache.

So the captain thinks Parker is "no good" just based on his voice?? I wonder in what way is he no good? He thinks he is "unreliable". I think this bodes I'll. Will he panic during a fight or something?
