I’ve been so bad at remembering to pick this book up, but this is not a reflection of the book itself 😂 still enjoying, still very well written

Audiobooking- totally forgot it’s Benedict and Sophie before Polin, Netflix really switched it around as a fan favour to us.

I’m loving the enemies to lovers, the slow burn wasn’t as slow as the show which I kind of liked, you understand Anthony a lot better and you see more of the Kate x Colin which I don’t think we saw as much of in the show either. I prefer the dynamic between the Sheffield sisters in the book v show. Interesting to see what they hammed up and what they smothered- btw, the actual bee sting scene is audacious.

Audiobooking because I can’t take these beautiful books outside of the house- I am aware, but don’t care, how crazy that sounds.
(Trust me to put blood, sweat and tears in to winning the illumicrate raffle, just for them to release a third drop a few months later ✌🏼😘✌🏼)

This is definitely the product of a certain time in life. The humour isn’t humouring with sexist and racist undertones, very much a ‘man’ book. Could not tell you a single thing about the plot, it’s just a lot of dialogue between men in the army.

Audiobooking this - not my usual thing, not sure what to make of it yet but there are some scenes that feel a bit Monty python. Not laugh out loud funny though, but a very good premise and idea for a plot.

It’s so nice to pick this up and be able to tell the difference in the author’s work and how they’ve grown. A fab read so far.

This is feeling very ‘nice guys finish last’ and like it’s trying a little bit too hard to be kooky and weird n wonderful. It’s laying the eccentricity on a bit thick.

I’ve had to stop at this point because Bella has officially met the cullens but Edward did the bit with tasting her tear and I am cracking up over here.
At what point, in any world for human or vampire, was that anything but weird??😭 Was it meant to be meaningful or comedic relief because I am just baffled, WHO DOES THAT🤣

Having a fun lil re read in honour of the 20th anniversary and I’d love to assess this with fresh, adult eyes.
They’re both insufferable, angsty 17 year olds. Miscommunication trope, sort of? Patronising, almost controlling, a bit cringe? Accurate portrayal of a bad teen romance tbh. Looking forward to reading midnight sun for a different perspective. Rampant with Mormon themes. Happy hoa hoa hoa season!

My god I’m so glad I’m not having to read this, I don’t want to be a book basher because I’ll never be able to write a book in my lifetime, but how this got approved and published is beyond me. Big yawn.

Audio booking this one because I didn’t love the first one but had accidentally bought this first so need to get through 1&2. This isn’t a series I’ll be continuing with, but at least listening to it makes the comical parts come across funnier even if some of the accents are arguably offensive?? Put like this, will be easier to listen to, than read.

Had a big ol insomnia read last night, paying for it today.
Turns out I had already guessed a few of the things that have played out, damn pattern recognition ruining everything.

Audiobooking this one because I’ve wanted to read it for a while but will never get around to it otherwise- will be interesting to see how much I can actually retain so not expecting to be blown away or fully immersed in this, but will try anyway 🤣
So far, cool concept, but I feel personally victimised. Anything happening to my cat would be my final straw too.

Getting juicy now, the pieces are coming together. Have theories but want to see how close / far off I am.
As much as I’m enjoying the book, the thing that lets this genre down, is that I’m 60% of the way through, before anything heats up. I’m all for world building but that’s not the case here, staying patient because Foley was the last author to catch me out with a plot twist, so fingers crossed🤞🏼

Paris apartment was a good read so thought I’d dip back in. Enjoying it so far, no notes (which is probably really high praise).

Unsure if kids were just more naive back in the 90s or if I’m just slightly too old to be reading this but the silly moments are enjoyable and it’s a nice quick read for sure

This is really nostalgic and feels like a step up from the Jacqueline Wilson books that were written for teens. I can’t tell if this is written from the perspective of young, innocent 16 year olds or if I was just wildly over exposed to things at that age? Either way, the references remind me of a much simpler time, minus the anorexia culture and the AIDS epidemic. Very glad to have a light, easy read

Only unrealistic thing about this book, is your twin sister wigging out when you’ve just dropped big news like *that* on them. Justice for Olive.

Like a bad ex, I am so done with this book but I cannot walk away from it. I will finish this at some point but oh my GOD.
