The premise is a bit too silly for me. I’m going move on to another book and not spend time reading this one. I’m just not interested.

Getting in the mindset!

DETERMINED to get through this. But I might give up.

Picking this up again after more than a year. It's just so boring though!

Only halfway through and I've learned so much.

Finally finished The 42nd Parallel; I expected better. The characters seem fake and the narrative voice is not very captivating. I find myself skimming over the camera eye and newspaper sections; they are often too vague for me to understand the significance of what they're describing. Manhattan Transfer is definitely crafted better; I admire Dos Passos' writing more in MT.
