I like Cadderly and I am looking forward to his adventuring. Nice set-up in the first chapter. Maybe Newander will become his adventuring companion in future books? He seems to be an equally bad fit for his current vocation.

The writing is good and so is the audio, but the story is not really doing much for me. I‘m not exactly bored, but don‘t feel suspense of curiosity about the direction of the it.

This came out a few months after Dungeon Crawler Carl. LitRPG, serial (I think), Isekai (I assume), so far so funny. I‘ve seen great reviews and others that complained about the MCs stance towards religion, society, etc. and complaints about the serial nature of the book. Well, d-oh. Continuing!

My Pride Month read…

I am getting Moebius vibes.

The 1st chapter about NZ did a good job of explaining why all 2D maps of the world are wrong. I knew that, but this was a fun way of explaining the differences. And in the future I will take a much closer look for missing countries when I spot a map somewhere.

Chapter 2, about the US-Canadian border. Now I know why its so straight! This was the point in the book where I opened Google Maps to follow along the border.

Chapter 5 — love the storage unit, the 1966 Volkswagen and the three stooges!
