Not my first rodeo with Ken Liu but I like his fiction a ton better than his forewords.

Okay the book is fun again after going into the mines. I love me some dwarf doors I tell ya h’what.

We’ve all been living life wrong this whole time. Hobbits got it figured out and I wish to be one of them.

Poured myself a couple beers at 10pm and read … and re-read until 1:00. The mystery of the Black Cat Cafe is solved and I am absolutely grateful that Kindaichi spells it out so well in the final chapter because halfway through I was a bit too pickled to remember who I thought the murderer was.

Off on a ramble in the hills, eh wot? Tally ho good lad!
