The characters seem to be overblown stereotypes and exaggerations; This perhaps could be due to the fact that they're American, I'm not sure.

The plot flows and its a very easy read but I'm not that interested by the characters, seems accurate with the title being "Normal People" but nonetheless sadge.

The movie is better in certain elements but the relationship with Jean is something that the book really does much better.

Surprisingly disappointed with the story so far. Mishima’s writing is brilliant and his style is evident throughout the novel. However I still don’t have any personal attachment to any of the characters. At this point I’m simply tempted to complete the novel because of its short length
