The way this book especially at this point reminds me both of Another First Chance and If I See You Again Tomorrow and I have a feeling my heart will be heartbroken by the end

I’m so confused what’s going on but I’m also soooo loving it

“So if you don’t have a clue where you wanna be or what you wanna be doing 5 years from now, congrats you are just like the rest of us.” Even if it’s said to a 16 years old it hits even when I’m past those 5 years and I still don’t know what I wanna do so it feels reassuring in a way

I’m so not surprised that I’m loving this so much haha

I can relate to the self doubt and insecurities of Robby and I am so emotional for him, but him and David don’t seem like a good fit and maybe if it was dual pov it would have been better as we could see what David is thinking. We did get his backstory and it made me like him more and understand him more, but wish we had his pov even though it’s a novella

I like David now. His character makes sense now XD

It’s just so frustrating that I’m not enjoying this book nearly as much as I did Dune

Even outside of my problems with Alia’s storyline, I feel like this book lacks what I loved from the first one and I can’t fully explain what. And this one is so much more reminiscent of Earth for some reason and it’s throwing me off

I don’t like the whole Alia needing a mate thing and seeing her being kissed by Hayt gave me a visceral reaction. I understand she has the mind of an adult, but it is still fucked up

I can see why people are saying this is too long. The climax happened and there still was over two hours left in the audiobook (now less) with basically just smut which I haven’t found hot since the beginning and at this point it really has started grinding on my gears because the slightest hint of sexiness and it turns into a damn sex scene like fuck off. I do enjoy the domestic moments between the couple

I think not picking up the book in a couple of days made me more disconnected from the characters because even though before I didn’t care about spicy scenes especially from the girl pov because of the narrator, now I really don’t care 🤷‍♀️
