I’m enjoying the book again

Even outside of my problems with Alia’s storyline, I feel like this book lacks what I loved from the first one and I can’t fully explain what. And this one is so much more reminiscent of Earth for some reason and it’s throwing me off

I don’t like the whole Alia needing a mate thing and seeing her being kissed by Hayt gave me a visceral reaction. I understand she has the mind of an adult, but it is still fucked up
