MC asked the same person twice about murder “weapon” with no reaction the second time from the person. Felt like a plot point added twice rather than to progress the story.

Annoying

Ugh.
Choppy writing, bad transitions, dialogue is not well written and the characters are really getting obnoxious with how they interact.
It was getting painful to read. I even skipped ahead just to see the resolution but couldn’t finish.

Fun and funny

Read physical book- not audio. Narrator is lispy.

I don’t see how the author could possibly have had much experience with kids with the way these four-year-olds are speaking and interacting. Also, I just came across a section where the parents said their four-year-old is reading Trixie Belden mysteries, which is not impossible, but not likely. It’s possible the books are being read to her, but that’s not clear.

I’m having a hard time swallowing 4 year olds talking like 10 year olds.

Olive and Olivia in the same book?! It’s hard enough to keep track of all the couples. Adding to the mix 2 way too similar names for their kids is frustrating for me as a reader.

Page 68 incorrect reference?

Not great. I didn’t know being over descriptive was a thing. I kept losing track of the story because of the excessive descriptions. I made it 18% in. I won’t be finishing this book.

Plot hole on page 27. Blair is in cat form but asks a supposedly non magical person a question, which gets answered with no reaction.

Audiobook: the narrator is a little robotic. Over enunciation, especially of the word “to”.

Scout should know about Naiads, since her best friend Poet lives with 2 of them.,

Good so far

The Americans use British phrases like the phone line being “engaged” when they should have said “busy”, “flat” instead of “apartment”, “car park”, rather than “parking lot” As obnoxious and self centered as 3 of the Americans are, there’s no way they would even try to use British phrasing. Even your average American would struggle to remember to use the British terms for things.

Interesting so far. Found a plot hole. In one scene, 2 women say they’ve never seen a particular book, then a few pages later they discuss inspecting the book and having seen it six months prior.

A little too much steam/language for my taste. Too bad because the storyline was good.
