I have to add that Adrien is also in the wrong here. He's been lying to himself and everyone around him for the last two years. And he himself admits in his internal monologue that he's in a relationship where he doesn't feel nearly half good as he did with Jake. And that is bad. Because I do think he likes Guy. But I also see that he was filling a void. And that he thinks he prefers the blindness of it all.

Oh. Wow. Pain.

I hate that I am so invested in this catastrophic relationship. It's so bad also. Like you cannot come to my household in the middle of the night to tell me you want me back whilst you're still married AND fucking some guy besides your wife. Like, I do read between the lines that this was Jake's most significant relationship. But my man, you have to make it right.

Adrien, make him work for it ffs.

I have to say something. I really enjoy these books and their silly little mysteries. Even the hell of a drama I'm dealing with with Jake and all that.
But if there's a thing I actually despise in here, is the way Adrien feels like he owes his body to the people around him. It makes me feel bad for him and I want to hit people. You do not owe them sex when you don't feel like it. Even if you like/love them. Period.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN FOR FIVE YEARS? Are you kidding me? Death sentence is no longer enough! This man is on my watch list. I don't know if redemption is a viable option anymore. Adrien may forgive, but I will not forget.

Listen. I better not be right about my guess because if that's the case then Jake can go from redemption to death sentence. He better not have been playing this in three different ways or I'll grab him by the balls myself.
