Violet - "Wow, that's crazy, let's never mention this super secret and powerful power [presumably] ever again cause the author has no need for it anymore"

-I'm taking this too seriously?Need I remind you this book is 544 pages?That is a long book, so after editing, Yarros said "no this is essential to my book".If she wants me to pay the same, if not more money for this book as I have paid for books that lifted my heart with joy, then I will treat this book to the same standard. How about you stop reminding me about better books and actually commit to a charachter arc

...that she'd forget what inspiration meant and just reduce one of the most whacky and bonkers but developed out features of Dune, to what is entirely an aesthetic. Like, literally just changed names "it's a mineral called violodrite" and it makes their eyes turn purple from excessive use. They have it on EVERYTHING on the isle. VIOLEDRITE???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? how could she have possibly come up...

Onyx storm ripping off the spice melange from dune was not in my bingo card.

Yarros wants Frank Herbert's nachos so bad.

I BET you, she was writing this section for the wisdom island, and had no clue how to distinguish it, so decided to go to the movies to try and get some inspiration.

But when she rocked up and presumably saw Dune Part 1 or 2, she just forgot what inspiration meant and decided...SEE NeXT POST
