Evan I don't get it. If someone wants to pass, why would the person in front suddenly speed up other than to be an ass?

Do we make decisions based on random things bounding into the road? That could be anything. A kid, a boulder, a garbage bag...

There are passing zones, for passing.

So, speeding up makes the recalcitrant person on the right now more likely to hit something, since they decided to speed up unnecessarily. Escalating things does nothing to make the situation safer. Such reaction is just another form of road rage.

I'm not leaving the house now. Somebody might jump me on the front porch. Because every move I make is based out of fear of the worst possible outcome. You sound like my mother.
