This well-known tale, as it’s written here, is far more ebb and flow than the Disney adaptation—it’s the original author’s pen.

The capricious Pinocchio persistently rushes into trouble to satisfy every curious whim and is saved by the graces of others. Certainly, its prose is targeted to the young, but its contents of moral development are sterling. This is truly a gift to read to your children.

Reading this with my 6 year old has drastically slowed the process - though she loves it in comparison to the beloved Disney movie.
