Mitchell finally found the human connection he was craving, and narratively, I am roughly at the point where the film begins.

This book is so well written, and at present so depressing. I have too much SAD for another person's despair.

Finally getting around to the core events depicted in "Cross-fire," although dialogue from earlier in the novel was appropriated elsewhere in the script.

Fantastic prose and insight into masculinity in distress.
