Cerulean Erinjade... It doesn't feel like a name that fits a slimy male someone. It sounds more like a small female child with elf ears. Hmmm... The names so far are a bit uncomfortable so far. Maybe I'll eventually get used to it.

Hmmm... so the author can actually really write romance that's not all cringe-worthy. Consistency though is what I'm hoping will get better as I keep going.

I am now confused on what time line this story is on. The first half they're speaking as if they're in 21st century America, then in the middle they're suddenly speaking like they're in medieval England. All while being in Ohio and only a day has passed. Ugh.

The romance in this book is just too forced that it makes me cringe every time the focus goes there. Stop. Please. There was huge improvement though when the focus shifted to that of the blade dancers. If not for their introduction I would've stopped reading. So far I feel like the story's too scattered.

Few pages in & I'm starting to doubt it will get any better prose-wise. There's a huge lack in distinction of POV. I can only keep guessing if what I'm reading is still of the dream/past or is now of the "present". Lucky I am well read. For the casual reader, this can get confusing. Plot wise, it's still interesting. I shall carry on.
