Today in my reading I found examples of Ethos Pathos, and Logos. An example of Pathos was when it talked about the nursery rhyme "ashes ashes we all fall down".Then I saw an example of Ethos on page 126 where it talks about the importance of studying how society came over the bubonic plague. Finally, an example of Logos is where they were talking about scientists researching about trying to find vaccines for birdflu

Today while I was reading I learned that the Black Death is still with us today even though we have antibiotics for it. In some places they don't have immediate access to antibiotics if any and it occurs more like an epidemic potentially killing hundreds.

I learned that women were only introduced to the workforce because so many men had died from the plague and there was a shortage of workers.

Today I learned that so many peasants died from the plague that there wasn't enough peasants for the work that needed to be done. So peasants were playing the system and charging land owners more money overtime causing the social classes to be brought closer together. Until this was ended by the king of England. He waged a tax on the peasants causing them to revolt and kill a government official.

Today I learned that the King of England thought the black death was God punishing us for being sinful. So he would tell his people to fast on Fridays and walk barefoot to church on Sunday.
