a very intriguing and interesting intro. world building using the perspective of a side character is also really clever. the nice thing is all 3 books in the series are interconnected/in the same world, but can be read as standalones. good idea including the family tree at the start. 4 star potential, but let me see how the story goes. the part about calling the president to stop a plane is a little cringe tho
