Gosh darn it, Jimbob is really going for that Perfect Boyfriend award. He's such a great character - should be too perfect but just makes you melt.

You know, I think a lot of us could benefit from having just a bit of that "I am too old to care about what people think" in our lives even before getting to retirement age. I think it could make a difference.

It strikes me as funny, the way I have opinions about protection and two guys doing the thing. Like, why? What? Where did it come from??! 😂But somehow, I am way too often in favour of going without because... romance books? Committed relationship? No one is going to cheat here, right? What's the point if no uterus is involved? And I am weirdly happy when they (the characters) agree and go without. 😅

Well, I care about the cake and the situation it is now put into. But considering the existence of whatever American Pie is, I guess it could have been worse.

Oh no, we're entering the progressively more heartbreaking portion of the book...

I just adore USA logic:
16-year-olds can operate a heavy (in the USA especially) heavy piece of metal that can kill a person on impact
20-year-olds can't legally drink a beer
Makes sense. Alcohol bad. Guns good.

Old McDonald... has a farm. His goats escaped, in fact. If this way bingo (with aforementioned small-town items), I think someone would have just won.

That combination of sweet and dirty and wholesome and obsessive/intense... delicious.
