A seventh grader can’t skip school without everyone being alerted. My kid was in school and miscounted once and I got a text, an email and a phone call and so did my husband. The alarm was raised until she was found in her seat in class.

This feels nostalgic to cheesy 1990s Harlequins, mainly because it is a cheesy 1990s Harlequin that the author is reissuing. She says she updated it but people are using cameras and talking about brochures when today people would have cell phones and talk about social media campaigns.

I know it’s a pivotal part of the plot but what kind of idiot invests their kid’s inheritance in a heli-ski business to the tune of half a million dollars?
I’m sure it will work out but yikes, look into the bond market.

Wtf is a heli-ski business, anyway? Between that & the butter tarts, this book makes me feel dumb. 😂

lol, heli -ski is when they take you in a helicopter to the top of the mountain to ski down, higher than ski resorts have lifts. It’s an extreme sport I think. So she invested half a mil of her daughter’s inheritance investing in his business to take people on extreme ski trips.
By the magical of cheesy romance hea, it all worked out because he’s an amazing business man and somehow made millions on a business that’s pretty much mostly unviable with the costs of equipment and liability insurance not to mention increasing global warming and climate change affecting the ski industry as a whole. Hehehe
It’s amazing what heli-ski greatness you can accomplish when that parental trauma is overcome. 🫢
They were both traumatized by their parents’ marriages so we got a double whammy hahaha. But the cliches are clicheing in these 90s Harley’s.
“Gosh, how can we possibly be good parents when our own were so shitty?!” 😱 Try not being like them, loving your kids, & doing your best.
