Kinda waiting for something to happen but I also know that nothing is going to. It’s a very meditative kind of book. Also reminds me a lot of grandma - the religion and the farm. The mouse plague just makes me remember school, and how scared I’d been that first night after they’d told us about it. I swear I could feel them on me.

I don’t think I would ever pick this book up (only really picked it up bc I’m trying to read more literary fiction and went straight to the booker prize list for ideas) but I do think I’m really going to enjoy this. I’m liking the exploration of religion so far.
