I like the flow of her story. She now owns the Barefoot Contessa which she purchased for five grand in 1978. Interesting perspective on her mother who was a trained nutritionist but did not serve any food that had flavor. Garden gives good advice about how to make food presentable and know how it will be used in terms of eating - picnic versus formal dinner party.
