great so far, very sibling dialogue. BUT the first chapter (?) is not strong. it’s deceptively weak and oddly tell-not-show. it reads like the author ripped her character summaries and query from her draft, and then pasted it suddenly to the front of the book. kind of like she didn’t trust her own writing and story enough to stand by itself (which it does), and added a “just to be safe!” explanation.
