Well that was anticlimactic. I was expecting a big actual fight scene, maybe even a temporary breakup. Instead, the feisty MC just.. rolled over? And I don't like that the ML basically bullied the MC either. This is where it lost me.

"You—you need to reflect on the gravity of this situation."
"I never lied to you." Qi Zhu turned and locked the bedroom door. "And I never planned on hiding it from you."

False. He prevented his friend from showing the MC his 'fight' app profile name back then.

He was thinking… that he wanted to be… 'everyone else's'… boyfriend.

This is kinda painful and uncomfortable to read, since we now know that the cold ML wants to get his hands on the guileless (when it comes to romance) MC. Painful exactly because of how guileless and unguarded the MC is, despite 'fighting' on that trolling app every day. Like he's been taken advantage of.

"So, do you have someone very impressive coaching you in the art of fighting, or do you have an innate talent?" Jiang Ying asked, scooting closer.

The irony.

He'd never had a knack for acting, and he'd never banked on becoming a successful actor. But he knew all the juiciest scandals of the entertainment industry like the back of his own hand. Whenever there was a fight, he was there. Glowing like a beacon, ready to get in on the action.

He should have worked for the tabloids.
