So X was not drawn immediately out of depression, but it was a slow and ongoing process over the course of the story. This is all pretty different from the game and I would approve of it, Team Flare appears much earlier, it is not simply about being the best trainer (in fact that is so far barely mentioned) and the teenagers on the run are pretty competent, unlike some others I know....

X and the little baby Kangama are so depressed that they just sit around in their room/pouch all day, never come out and even two gods fighting outside wont make them do anything? I can understand Trovato hoping that caring for a new Pokemon or Y banging at his window will stir X, but this is a depression level that makes me think the solution will be "magic."
