Such an honest, on the ground look at what families in Gaza have been going through (and are still going through!) for decades. I am reading it one poem and chapter at a time--the intense reality and tragic events can be overwhelming. However, Alareer's prose so humanizes Palestinian victims of Israel's barbarous acts that I am drawn back to the book nearly every day.
