The tale of Maeglin and Ëol was fascinating, especially how Ëol perished; genuinely my favourite part of the book.
I also enjoyed the recollection of the Westward expansion of the Avari/Edain/Man and how they established themselves in Beleriand and which House of the three waves aligned to one of the Eldar houses.
