I'm trying again. The writing style is like diary and, while the author's small-town style deviations are cool, the story itself isn't. I'm really hoping it gets better. I'm still not sure if there's a character I'm supposed to like.

I'm really finding this to be an extremely boring read with unlikeable characters. It has no compelling story. The antagonist (if that's what he's supposed to be) is cookie cutout and morally gray rather than evil so far. No spoilers, not even far into it.
