In an art class I took in college, the teacher said the mark of a truly great artist, a true master, was the ability to paint realistic children. I think the same can be said of writers. If you’re writing a kindergartner that’s able to remember and share personal information, past events, and basic facts, as well carry on a coherent and straightforward conversation, try again.
