So far I love this memoir. In some ways I find it extremely relatable. Though most of the time I sit in horror at the situations Walter Kim lived through. The prose is great, feels like he is telling you his story at a bar.

Does he give you a sense of hope though?

I’m not sure I would want a sense of hope yet, maybe at the end but so far its better this way
