So far the 2 main characters are so contemptuous and cynical - and they use SO MANY WORDS to express their cynicism and contempt - that I’m struggling. With the exception of a line here and a paragraph there, it’s been pretty ugly.
But I just arrived at Part 2, so here’s hoping we’ve turned a corner…

My feelings exact yours! I wanted to like this book the first time I read it and it never clicked for me. This time around I feel that even more. I'd love to be wrong by the end. The author gave us two narrators who are both difficult to like which confuses me so much.

I am on the EXACT page as you are, Jen, but so far I am enjoying the book. Although sometimes it is hard to keep my focus on what I'm reading. I keep thinking about you during all the narratives about the cats!
