Then a woman who's been in a toxic "friendship" (& she actually took a job with this person), has been fired so she can't get her raise. The "friend" then wants her to volunteer for the HS Reunion committee. She doesn't want her parents to find out she has no job (what is she? a teenager). Her solution is to walk a wealthy neighborhood in the hopes of stumbling across a rich husband.

Not the book to read if this is your first introduction to the author. It did end up having a few funny moments & it definitely had steam, but I didn't like the MCs or the sister. I didn't like how the sister simplified how the FMC was feeling when she came to her, making excuses for the MMCs behavior.
I did like the brothers, so unless they have personality transplants, I may someday read their books

Yes, she's immature, but no one told her what to expect at this meeting. It's like the author wants us to dislike all the characters. The only people I actually like are the brothers.

Why does it seem like he's had a personality change. I knew he was a liar, but he wasn't coming across like an asshole until he got her agreement. Even when he manipulated her into the agreement, he behaved better.
I'm trying to see how she's going to fall in love with this version of him.

My thoughts so far are not very favorable.
We have a wealthy real estate mogul who is so desperate to seal a deal that he lies about having a pregnant fiancée. THEN he thinks what will happen to his reputation as a businessman if the truth comes out. He is not only putting his reputation on the line, but that of his brothers. All for a deal that they don't seem too concerned about getting.
Make it make sense
