Argh! I was so excited when I realized that this was about a hermaphrodite and not someplace in New England, and then it turned into some magical historic thing - Tom Robbins on the Acropolis (gag) - but I borrowed it from my neighbor and can't return it until I can present some plausible case of having read most of it.
