I can't believe I never gave this book a chance. I mean, a 700 page book about a dude hunting a whale? Sounded so dull.

I was wrong.

I'm only 35 chapters in (I love short chapters!) and I'm in love with this boatload of vividly unusual, interesting, and clearly gay characters.
