i still don’t fully understand why he wrote an entire book about theme cuz so many things seem beyond obvious but still. hoping to learn smth new (and i DO learn that) and add another dimension to my book :)

this book seems obvious? idk ik it’s only 13% but… im not finding it useful. i already got the message that theme, character, plot are all symbiotic as hell and can enhance each other. they can also ruin the story—if theme doesn’t support the plot/character and isn’t isn’t supported back

i now lowkey don’t understand why this book is so long like 😅 everything seems obvious now regarding theme

but im also very tired & irritated rn so my opinion is probably not reflective of what i actually think/how i really feel

now that im thinking about it, the books i like have THEMES. without it, its just an empty, boring shell
