the story is about a lady she got invited to a ball but she didnt have enough money to buy jewels so she borrowed a necklace from her friend who is rich then when she wanted to return it she lost it so then she worked for ten years to get the money to buy a new one and give it back to her then her friend told ther that it wasent even real.
