I can’t believe I don’t remember this from the first read of the book.

I started this tandem read in December and paused it so I could read Onyx Storm. So excited to get back to this, it’s so good and written SO much better 😅

I DON'T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS!! I'm not shocked and heart broken like everyone else. I saw it coming. It was about time things didn't go to Aelin's stupid plans that have been YEARS in the making apparently. Pfft. Too much planning that the readers are completely unawares about.

Is it bad that I'm slightly getting bored now? And right in the middle of an action scene. I just want to read more of Elide!

And now I can't put this down! However Aelin's chapters were really boring until Manon shows up in them.

Aelin still feels incredibly entitled and like she thinks she's indestructible. It also feels like nothing can truly destroy her so there doesn't feel like any danger to her... So technically, she IS indestructible. She's gone back to being a character I really don't like...

I'm enjoying Elides chapters the most so far. What I love about this series is that it's now about more then Aelin, we get to see these other characters and wonder how they will fit into the story as a whole.
