I’m sorry but so much of this book feels like he’s scraped off the surface of something he’s heard other people say and plopped it into the book. That’s why so much of this book sounds cartoonish; I’ve heard people say these things before so. Many. Times. The stereotypical bullies, the stereotypical killer, the stereotypical misogynistic husbands, everything feels unoriginal. This book is boring

WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT TIERNEY? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ROACHES AND THE SERIAL KILLER?!

(2) The execution of the premise is just boring. She didn’t even use her power to CONTROL roaches to help against the serial killer coming after her! Yes, she was scared and probs not thinking, but idc. This book is boring

(1) I’m sorry but the whole “power to talk to roaches” thing has been kind of lame so far. We’ve only seen her “feel” roaches around her and what they’re feeling. Yes, she used 3 of them to attack a cartoonish bully at prom, but seriously? That’s what you use it for? And only that? YOU CAN CONTROL ROACHES! There are so many everywhere, and you DONT HAVE AN ARMY?
