Things are finally happening, which is good, but the writing is much less refined than in book 1. I feel like I'm reading a rambling first draft rather than a polished final copy. Even so, I'm interested enough to carry on.

A bit disappointing because not a lot has happened yet, and Katniss seems to be a much weaker and indecisive person than she was in the first book. And while early on you suspect where the story might be headed, it drags on until you get confirmation that the story will indeed go in that direction on p 174. That's almost halfway in, an awfully long time to commit to feel like the story is finally going somewhere.
