I understand that the optimism in this book may be unrealistic and detract from the horrors of the first book, but God, I really needed it, especially now. To have a woman in the end outwit a system designed to devalue her, to bring hope through the reunification of mother and child, to end on a note that despite all, these girls are capable and loved… I’m sorry I just need it. I need to have that hope.
