If there is one thing I absolutely despise in books it’s trials ala hunger games. It’s the only book I tolerate with this trope (maybe serpent and the wings of night too) but even there it gets on my nerves. If a book is composed around this kind of lazy plot device I will not read it. It was done too many times in the 2010s and it doesn’t get better if its fantasy not dystopia but ok I will listen

I finally continued reading this book because I heard that there will be a third one with the title “The Justice of One” and I am hyped. Also, I am finally ready to be put out of my reading slump by a good book. I can’t really say why I stopped… I guess, I spoilered myself by skimming through the end… That is a thing I do sometimes and it ruins the fun so maybe I should stop doing it.
