-They get into a big argument after, Alexi is upset he won’t allow them friends, dracula says humans aren’t friends they’re just prey :(
Alexi breaks down trying to explain to Dracula that he needs friends, he’s a social being & needs that at least- he didn’t sign up to be locked away from the world, rotting away- that he needs to live! Dracula slaps him in the face & tells him the world has no place for creatures like them.. 🥺

Constanta always makes excuses for him no matter how awful his actions are but after seeing him hit one of them for the first time she loses any understanding she once had.

He moves them all out to the countryside after that, locking all the doors & windows, keeping the key w him at all times, not letting them out even to hunt for themselves- feeding them local peasant girls.
Magdalena went back into depression, staying in her room most days just laying in bed starving herself.
Alexi went mad, having fits some days, throwing himself into walls, screaming for hours.
Constanta feels awful for allowing alexi to be sucked into this, tries being his protector against the abuse.

Finally, after spending months, maybe even years, in that country house- Constanta tells the others abt Dracula’s past lovers, that they’re not the firsts & he’ll get rid of them too once he’s displeased enough.
One day when Dracula is out hunting, Alexi picks the lock to the basement while Magdalena keeps watch- they want to find any info they can to help them escape him.

Constanta finds what she needs to kill him written in a journal, she finds out that when Dracula killed his own sire, drinking his blood gave him the ability to sire others.

They barley make it out of the basement when Dracula gets back home, they look sketchy coming into the room out of breath but he just thinks it’s cause they’ve been hooking up- they have been recently & Dracula gets jealous lol
He returns home empty handed, got caught trying to lure someone away. A few days later an angry mob comes to chase them out of town. Dracula doesn’t care, says if they get inside they’ll just hide & kill them off one by one. His lovers use this as their chance to escape him.

Alexi & Mag seduce him, leading him into the bedroom while Constanta is waiting for him- all while the angry mob is banging on the door lol
Alexi & mag hold his arms down while Constanta is on top of him, pulls out a rod of wood she took from the stairs & steaks him through the heart, then they drink his blood absorbing his strength, Constanta getting majority of it & the ability to sire others, becoming the oldest living vampire.
Constanta picks him up after, brings him outside to the angry mob, they start attacking his body! She runs back into the house, they all grab as many valuables as they can & escape through a back entrance before the mob lights the house on fire.

They all go their separate ways after, so happy to be free, not sad at all cause they know they’ll all reunite again one day 🥹
Mag enrolls in a university to study politics in Rome. Alexi gets a ticket on a ship to America - New York!!
Constanta goes off on her own to travel the world, hopes to revisit her home again- Romania, wants to eventually find love again- healthy love lol.

They all visit each other over the decades, always savoring their short times together. Constanta has found 2 new lovers, even turned them! They all live & love freely though, nothing like her previous relationship!
Mag is involved w politics & the Vatican lol she has a lover too, hasn’t turned him & doesn’t plan to, says he’s too full of life & she loves that about him
Alexi is an actor living in New York ! He hasn’t found a new lover, still high key in awe of Constanta & Mag, never met anyone that matched the feeling. He misses them a lot, they can tell he’s kinda down. He’s scarred to admit how much he misses them but when he does they reassure him that no matter what life they’re living, that they’ll always love him.
They all make love to each other & agree to bring Alexi back to Europe w them when they return, have had enough time apart & want to be together again 🥰
