This book is making me feel hollow.

I’ve come to appreciate the cold writing and how well it depicts the teenage mind. Everything in the world feels so black and white and yet so confusing at the same time. How strane twists the story and how Vanessa has swallowed this as a narrative he needs and she must accept and continue. The way he first seemingly gentle becomes so disturbed and sick oh wow

Less than 100 pages in this book is alr so good. Seeing the way strange manipulated Vanessa, hearing the actual words he used and his feigned innocence is fucking genius. It’s awful how deeply he destroyed her and how the impacts of their relationship still haunt every relationship she has to this day including w herself
