as this novel continues, i relate more and more to raskolnikov, and i dont know how to feel. like yes, he’s a murderer, BUT: “And he braced himself to face a terrible and unknown ordeal. At times he longed to fall on [spoiler] and strangle him. This anger was what he dreaded from the beginning… But he was still determined not to speak till the right moment”

oooo i take back EVERY bad thing i said about this book, dostoyevsky you are a genius.
i just had to get past the exposition.
my BOY i love them theyre so funny. he’s just like “oh no theyre gonna find out im a criminal!” [holds onto his blood soaked sock and drinks tea from a spoon]
