Just took me over 7 minutes to figure out how to write a status update saying how much I hate the new home screen. Well played, Goodreads, well played. But where others might have given up, you have underestimated my deep and burning hatred.

I disliked this format when it was rolled out for the Amazon profiles. I do not dislike it less here.

Best thing is I can see this update (for example) several times in my timeline. Because I see the "original" one you posted and then whenever someone likes it or comments there's a seperate box for it. My tl is so overloaded and I can do nothing except for unfriend/unfollow which I don't want to do. It's so fucked up!

I think you can look at the top left under your "currently reading" book(s) and use the "General Update" link. (Help > Contact) That is what I did, because while I'm sure you are all nice people, the only reason I'm seeing this thread is because one of my friends liked it. That's not what I want from Goodreads. So annoying.

LOOOOOOOOOOL I had never done a GR status update either until my hate for the new homepage prompted me to do one last week.
