I'm tired. This evening I've written reviews for 4 of Bella Madison's books with links showing they were plagiarised. I'm not going to write any more. Can we just safely assume that everything she's claimed as hers is plagiarised fan fiction?

I miss being able to see at a glance what group discussions have been updated. Now I have to navigate all the way to the groups and click on each one to see if anyone has added anything. So basically the new homepage is user friendly except if we want to talk to people? Thanks, GR.

Just took me over 7 minutes to figure out how to write a status update saying how much I hate the new home screen. Well played, Goodreads, well played. But where others might have given up, you have underestimated my deep and burning hatred.

I don't really get why some authors complain about gif-filled reviews. Maybe it's because I'm technically challenged and get confused enough posting pics to GR, but I'm like, "Wow, someone took the time to find the right gif and post it on a review about my book? That's AWESOME!"

And that goes for all reviews, not just the Sterek fanfic. Even though Sterek gifs are their own reward.

JA Rock sent me a late Christmas/early birthday present that made me cry.

This is Cleo. JA painted her from a photograph, because she is insanely talented.
Cleo was put to sleep last August, and I still miss her every day.

Xmas present to myself (which will be late by the time it gets here). Just ordered Chapter 4 of Teahouse, and Chapters 11 & 12 of In These Words. Because hard copies of the things I love are necessary.

My feed is full of Sterek fan fic.

These are indeed the promised times.

My thought/rant for the day. I'm so, so tired of this idea that it's a reviewer's job to provide "constructive criticism". (More below.)

Oh yes...the LL moment I've been waiting for...

Well, the sequel to MARK COOPER VERSUS AMERICA will NOT be called BRANDON MILLS VERSUS VIRGINITY. Because apparently Amazon will automatically bounce your book if it has the V-word in the title.

So, fuck you, Amazon, for being the morality police nobody asked for, and because now we have to think of something else.

I LOVED that title.

Be honest with me, guys. I've been reading all this great Sterek fan fix lately. If I actually get around to watching Teen Wolf, am I going to be disappointed in their actual interactions?

I have stopped reading this book... BECAUSE I DON'T WANT IT TO END.

So I started highlighting interesting or funny or poignant passages. Turns out that's like 90% of the book, so I'm going to stop doing that.

Really liking this one so far.

2 different emails from 2 different editors in 2 minutes. *Maniacal laughter* I AM UNSTOPPABLE!

Oh god. I have spent the whole day cleaning, and my house doesn't look any different! And I paid a guy to come and clean the mould off my walls and ceiling (it's a tropical thing, don't judge me) and I have a headache from whatever he used. Screw this, I'm having aspirin and alcohol. That'll fix it, right?

Ah...just ready to crawl into bed after a night shift...and the road works begin right outside my house. Urge to kill rising...

May not be in the mood for editing. After reading several pages, the only coherent thought I've come away with is "You know, a macaw would be fucking awesome."

Why did nobody ever tell me that Cailbre was so damn easy? I've been avoiding it for months, and now I love it!

Oh my god. Just got a music recommendation from my ten year old god daughter. "The Fox" by Ylvis. And now I can't stop listening to it and laughing.

Wow. Only hours after making a comment on my new Booklikes blog that I wished there were groups, I got an answer from a staffmember saying they were introducing them. Meanwhile, back on the good ship GR, the feedback thread has blown out to over 4000 comments, with no definitive answers anyone at the helm. GR Customer Support. You're doing it wrong. But keep on rearranging those deck chairs.

Bwahaha! Just got the "Ok, you got a bad review. Deep breath" message from GR because someone added my unreleased book to their shelf and made a comment. Oh, GR, *you* take a deep breath. You're hysterical.

Just clicked on a 1 star review of one of my books and got this msg from GR:

"Ok, you got a bad review. Deep breath. It happens to every author eventually. Keep in mind that one negative review will not impact your book’s sales. In fact, studies have shown that negative reviews can actually help book sales, as they legitimize the positive reviews on your book’s page."

Thanks GR. Way to patronise me.
